Akai means red, kitsune means fox, udon is a type of noodles, different from ramen.

Kitsune is fox in Japanese, but don't worry.

it's a deep fried tofu, actually. You can eat it.

Japanese people believe kitsune, I mean fox, has a special power. You'll see shrines of foxes a lot in Japan. When foxes granted your wishes, you need to give deep fried tofu to foxes since they are supposed to love them.

That's why we say kitsune as deep fried tofu.
